KATAMAKU is an art installation, composed of a video, sound piece and dreaming dispositive, part of the exhibition Resilient currents of THANKSFORNOTHING curated by Ilaria Conti, showcased in Paris, gallery Forma. The dreaming dispositive that is suspended from the ceiling is made of YANCHAMA, a vegetal textile from a tree that regenerates itself in the Amazonian forest. The dreaming dispositive is filled with medicinal plants: coca leaves, datura leaves, eucalyptus leaves, and tobacco. It invites its visitors to an intimate and meditative experience. The visitor rests on a pouf (also filled with medicinal plants) and puts on headphones to experience a sound piece accompanied by the traditional healer's voice Luis Aureliano Yunda speaking in Nasa language. The installation also consists of a video piece that hints at the spaces where the sculpture has been taken, harmonized in the sacred spaces of the volcanic cascades on the lands of the originary community KOKONUKO of the department of Cauca, in Abya Yala.
